A Letter to my daughter on her 3rd Birthday

Dear Tejal,

                  Happy Birthday my girl. "We "are 3 !!! yaeeeeee 😄

                  As time passes and you continue to grow, so do we and the love in us.

                  Undoubtedly, the last three years were full of joy and your firsts.  Now we are all waiting for the time when your sweet words will reach our ears. You met your milestones later than the other babies. People say that consult the Doctor but I know that every child is different and special. You are active and that's a reason enough not to worry. You are only able to call the names of relationships, some simple words and the most interesting word is "Pa" which means Park and the swing ..😂 Your actions to make us understand your words are unbeatable. You are super cute my little Radha. 

                   You must be thinking about your nicknames, right? I named you "Pia" but I felt that some people would be calling you Priya instead of Pia. So I gave it another name "Radha" and everybody loved it. So eventually you have two nicknames. Some people call you Pia and some Radha.

                      Now, you have become a mischievous toddler. You never sit idle and this is the best part of childhood. You want to try everything on your own. The funny time is when you drink water. Oh, my girl how much you love to take baths. As soon as you see water whether it's in the glass or the bucket or even on the floor. You just start playing in the water. From rubbing water on your face to "chhap-chhap", you never miss the chance. You call it "Mia-Mia" because you can't say "hari om" 😁 Now, brushing your teeth has also been added to your routine and only your Maa can do this big task because I know when your mouth opens and when it closes. I make sure that you don't swallow the toothpaste. 

                   You come into the kitchen and take a bowl and spoon. You love to act like you are eating and cooking. After watching this, we brought a cute kitchen set and you loved it. 

                    3 years today and how I already wish to turn back time to when you were only a few weeks old !! You make every day feel like a birthday cake.

                                                        तेरी महक अब तो तेरी तस्वीर से भी आती है.

                   Some days you spend your day with me in my office. At first, I was afraid how you would spend the whole day but daughter, you are my super child. You stay very calm at the office. You are curious but decent and not grumpy at all. Everyone is impressed by your behaviour. At your age, you are more prone to get addicted to screens. I make sure that doesn't happen. 

                 One day, you locked me up in the bathroom. 😑 Nobody was in the house except us. You started crying and I started calling loudly for someone to listen to me. Somehow, I managed to calm you and make you understand enough to open the latch. After half an hour, you succeed after so many tries. A big sigh. 😯 After this incident I have become more conscious.

                     When you turned 2, I once tried weaning but I felt very bad. I felt distance between us and I somehow started feeding you again. I did this procedure again 3 months ago and this time I was determined because you are a big girl now. You took time to adjust. Though, I miss our special time. Only a mother can understand this feeling. Talking about this, you join your Papa in doing Yoga. OMG, you look so cute when you stretch. You don't sleep without playing games with your Papa. You love to ride on your Papa's back. You love to play hide and seek with him and more. Father's and daughter's bond is different and you guys are truly adorable. 

                       Moreover, I am relaxed and happy to see that you started wearing your hairbands.👯

You just love to attend weddings because of dancing. Everyone keeps looking at you at the wedding as you just keep dancing like nobody is watching. Your favourite cartoon shows are Aalu-Kachalu, Pingu, Tom & Jerry and some songs. You started copying the dancing steps.

                Sometimes we are amazed to see how wise you are. Seriously, Toddler's brain is invincible and the best part of yours is when you call me "Maa". You have stolen every piece of our hearts. When you wrap your little hand around my finger. Oh, it puts a smile on my heart. 

                         Indeed, mother and daughter, their hearts as one. A link that can never be undone.

                      Today you are a toddler, yesterday you were a baby and tomorrow you will be grown up but remember one thing, You will always be our Little Princess. The minute you were born, we felt a love like we had never felt before.
